Our Race Time Predictor calculates what your finish time should be for different distances assuming that you have trained appropriately for them. There are a few provisos, but it's a good way of predicting what time you should aim for with your training and therefore which plan you should follow.  


If you are training for a marathon, the good news is unless you've done very high weekly mileage before, all of your times are likely to drop, even 5k, as your running economy and overall speed and power improve.


The formula is based on the research by marathon ninja Pete Riegel. Please bear in mind that the larger the margin between the two distances, the less accurate the calculator becomes.
